Abstract

Revenue management is in charge of optimizing revenues when marketing a product or service, while answering questions such as: what products to sell?, to whom to sell these products?, at what time should they be sold?, and what is the best selling price?. Revenue management is applied to different industries. This work is applied to passenger rail transport, where an integer mixed model is proposed, taking into account a independent demand. The model was applied to real instances. Among the main observations, it was noted that the optimal solutions are found by exploiting a maximum of 1 node, both for medium (of 115 and 215 origin-destination) and large (of 256 origin-destination) instances and that the times to find these solutions are relatively high.
