We are excited and proud to have organized the 56th Brazilian Symposium on Operations Research (SBPO 2024) from November 4th to 7th, 2024, in the beautiful, vibrant, and welcoming city of Fortaleza, Ceará.

The 56th edition of the SBPO was organized by the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), the State University of Ceará (UECE), the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Ceará (IFCE), and the University of Fortaleza (UNIFOR).

The event took place at the Oasis Atlântico Imperial Hotel, located in one of the most charming spots along Beira Mar Avenue. The event’s program featured traditional technical sessions, with oral presentations, posters, lectures, and mini-courses on topics of interest to the community.

The official theme of the 56th edition of SBPO was: Renewable Energy, Smart Cities, Agriculture, and Industry 4.0.
