Blood donation is an important voluntary act that can save many lives. Transfusion is unavoidable in some situations, so it is essential that there is blood in stock, which is obtained exclusively by donation. The objective of this study is, based on the variables found in the literature on the subject, to model the capture of Brazilian donors using the Systems Dynamics (DS) method. The causal diagram was developed with the Vensim PLE software in order to establish the causal relationships between the variables and represent the feedback loops. Six cycles were found and analyzed, two of which were reinforcement and 4 of balance. The evaluation of these cycles can serve as an input for the reformulation of current public policies in order to make them more efficient, in response to the current challenges faced in attracting blood donors in the national scenario.
