Abstract

This paper aims to propose the application of the Analytic Hierarchy Process method to the problem of determining the shortage cost of a repairable supply. Repairable supplies are spare parts, capable of being repaired, belonging to an equipment. The mathematical models seek to minimize the logistic cost of the supply chain, which is provided by the sum of ordering cost, storage cost, acquisition cost, and shortage cost. Of these types, the only one with a total degree of certainty is the acquisition cost, while the others are uncertain. Two scenarios were designed: Firstly, one with the ordering costs, storage costs, and acquisition costs are known and another where only the acquisition cost is known. Finally, it was concluded that the AHP method is easily implementable and can be applied to this problem if a different scale from the original is adopted.
