The Women's Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) is one of the most popular modalities of the Olympic program (FIG, 1999). Among the four devices required in the Code of Points (CP) of the modality, specifically the ground, will be our investigation focus. Considering the CP changes regarding the requirement to perform acrobatic elements in different directions (from 2006), and also, the requirement to fulfill this Composition Requirement (RC) within an acrobatic line (from 2017), The objective of this study was to verify the incidence of acrobatic elements in different directions in the official FIG championships in the adult category in the 2017 - 2020 cycle. test in cycles: 2001-2004; 2006-2008; 2009-2012; 2013-2016 and 2017-2020). Subsequently, a qualitative, descriptive research was carried out, based on videographic analysis, of the solo series of the eight finalists of five GAF events, namely, the 2017 World Championship (Montreal/Canada), the 2018 World Championship ( Doha/Qatar), 2019 World Championships (Stuttgart/Germany) and Olympic Games (Tokyo/Japan). The analysis was carried out in three stages: frequency analyzed by the authors; crossings of the data found; reanalysis of specific points for data verification. The sample consisted of 32 series of 22 athletes, a total of 118 acrobatic movements with flight were observed, 37 forward and 81 backward. Of the forward elements, 21 were performed with liaison, that is, connected to other acrobatic elements with flight; and 16 in isolation. It was possible to perceive that the acrobatic elements forward, normally, appear as supporting elements in the series, serving only to fulfill the requirement that the CP suggests. Furthermore, it is possible to conclude that the elements that appear in isolation for the most part (56.5%) have a low difficulty value (Value A), evidencing the difficulty of execution, landing and little appreciation of these movements before the CP of the modality . Finally, one can see the FIG's concern with respect to valuing these gymnastic movements, highlighting the change made in the past cycle, which remains until now, requiring that these movements, in order to comply with the RC, be within a line acrobatic, increasing the incidence of elements with greater appreciation - Difficulty Value - within the specific requirements of the CP.
