Crea un temaThe study of technological routes associated with conversion of agro-industrial by-products into added value bioproducts can be financially and environmentally positive. The main disposal of organic waste is landfilling, a practice that present risks of environmental side-effects. Technologies developed to contribute to the recovery of energy and value-added biocompouns are available. Among the compounds that can be extracted from food industry by-products are proteins, fibers, vitamins, minerals, lipids, phenolic compounds, antioxidants and phytomoniums. The aim of the study was to evaluate possible routes of technological processes to recovery bioactive compounds present in the composition of jaboticaba peels (Myrciaria jabuticaba (Vell.) Berg). The results describe processes for extracting value-added products from jaboticaba peels, and the most promising methods and several bioproductswere identifiied: Cyanidin-3-O-glucoside and ellagic acid, anthocyanin, phenolic compounds, ellagic acid, gallic acid, polyphenol, anthocyanins, flavonoids, tannins, 4-hydroxybenzoic acid, delphinidin 3-glucoside, ellagitannins, gallotannins, and hydroxybenzoate derivatives. The implementation of processes for valuing jaboticaba peels allows greater added value from the raw material, reducing the amount of material landifilledreducing its environmental side-effects. Therefore, adopting more sustainable methods the industrial sector comply with a sustainable development in the circular economy concept.
