PHYSICAL-CHEMICAL EVALUATION OF HYDROSOLIFY EXTRACTS OF SOYBEANS PRODUCED WITH DIFFERENT DOSES OF FOLIARY CALCIUM
Fertilization carried out during the agricultural production process may interfere in various ways with the physical and chemical characteristics of the food. Thus, the objective of this work was to determine the effects of foliar fertilization with calcium in the physicochemical characteristics of soybean water soluble extract. The experiment consisted of 5 treatments (5 doses of calcium), with 4 replicates. As treatments, five doses of Ca were applied through the foliage at the beginning of the flowering using as a source the product Sup Calcium (41% Ca), at the doses of 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 liters of the product per hectare. After the grains were harvested, they were ground and then the pH value was determined using a digital potentiometer, the total soluble solids content (TSSC) with the aid of digital refractometer with automatic temperature compensation at 20º C, and Expressed as ºBrix and total titratable acidity (ATT) expressed as a%. Data were submitted to analysis of variance and the means were compared by the Tukey test at 5% probability. There was no effect of the treatments on pH, which had an overall mean of 6.61. For the TSSC, the highest averages were observed with the application of 2 and 3 L/ha doses. The lowest values of SST were observed when no calcium was applied to the plants (dose 0). The acidity titratable total was influenced by the treatments, being observed a decrease of the acidity values as the doses of calcium applied in the culture were increased. The highest values of titratable acidity were treatments 0; 1; 2; 3 L/ha of the product; and the lowest mean in the highest dose of the product (3 L/ha). It is concluded that foliar fertilization with calcium interferes in the physicochemical characteristics of water-soluble extract of soybean grains.
