Abstract

Reservoir monitoring through remote sensing has advanced significantly, driven by new water quality models, sensors, and enhanced computational capabilities. Despite these advancements, access to these technologies remains largely confined to the scientific community. The commercial and public sectors still encounter obstacles in accessing these techniques, which limits the potential advancements in water management that these innovations could offer. In response, this paper introduces GEMAP (Geospatial Mapping of Aquatic Parameters), a user-friendly, interactive platform designed to make water quality data easily accessible for decision-making. GEMAP aims to broaden the adoption of satellite-based water monitoring within the public and commercial sectors, providing organizations with the tools necessary to enhance water resource management.
