Continuous removal is a hyperspectral data analysis technique used to study absorption features in isolation. In this research, the parameters obtained by the removal of the continuous in chlorophyll and water absorption features in grasses were evaluated for their ability to qualitatively characterize the state of the vegetation. In addition, the level of overlap of the evaluated parameters was evaluated. The data were collected in the municipality of Paraibuna, São Paulo, with a spectroradiometer that allowed the identification of features related to the presence of chlorophyll and water. The results showed the potential of the technique to discriminate the state of the vegetation. The only parameters with significant correlation were depth and absorption area.
