Abstract

The integration of uncertainty management perspectives into multicriteria models and methods allows to improve the perception of conflicting aspects under evaluation and the ability to understand the nature of the compromises that must be made in order to choose a satisfactory solution, acceptable as the final solution of the decision-making support process. This paper presents the perspective of Uncertainty Management in the Multicriteria Decision Aid method Simple Aggregation of Preferences Expressed by Ordinal Vectors – Multi Decision makers - SAPEVO-M using Real Number Intervals. The development of this work allowed us to define the Interval Weight of Criterion j and the Interval Global Performance of Alternative i and to explore the possibility of practical application through the presentation of an illustrative example. The results indicate that the Interval Vector obtained by the SAPEVO-M Interval Method is capable of introducing new reflections on the problem under study.
