Abstract

This article proposes to present the result of the application of models for the location of critical points within an exploration area performed by an unmanned surface vehicle, showing the importance of the best choice in decision making. This objective can be achieved from the result of a maximum coverage location model. The problem is modeled as a case of integer linear programming, treated from a heuristic solution, that is, a certain model can be solved from the result of the other. In the end, from the processing of six simulations, the computational result that generated the best solution was presented graphically, obtaining 90% of the demanded area covered and 85% of the reference points covered. The results indicate the capacity of the mathematical model, the optimization methods and the application developed to aid the planning of various missions using unmanned vehicles.
