Abstract

Inspection routes include equipment that must be checked periodically. The inspection sequence is defined manually, based on the knowledge of professionals. We propose a GRASP algorithm to able of planning optimized routes, seeking to reduce the time spent by the inspector. This decision support tool can be used to define new routes or update existing routes. For validation, a case study in a Vale pelletizing plant is used.
