The supplier selection process can be subjective in a scenario of uncertainty and conflicting criteria. This work addresses the fuzzy logic in selecting suppliers to support decision-making. In developing the work, experts described the scenario of the study based on real projects of seaports for the export of iron ore. The design of fuzzy inference systems type Mamdani was applied in the current supplier selection method. The fuzzy system adopted considered four input variables and one output variable, with three linguistic terms for each variable. Were considered pertinence functions of trapezoidal type for all variables. As a result, it was obtained a supplier selection model, validated by experts, with a sensitivity analysis of the ruleset. The fuzzy model followed a detailed methodology and transparency, showing an advantage over the traditional model, which has a selection process with information without validation.
