Abstract

During the execution of maintenance activities in the field, it is common for teams to need telephone support from their respective bases of operation. However, when observing the reality of an electric power distribution company, it was noticed that, depending on the scheduling of the teams' tasks, the number of simultaneous calls occurring at specific times can generate overload in the service process of the base (which generates delay in the execution of tasks by the teams), as well as periods of idleness. equally undesirable. This work presents a simulation model that allows analyzing whether a set of task schedules of the teams can be fulfilled, considering the restricted service capacity of the base. Such a model can be used both to validate a schedule and to correctly size (justifying, for example, an increase in service capacity) the capacity of the service center to the teams in the field.
