The ADR control algorithm, commonly used in static environments, showed limitations in dynamic scenarios, especially with moving robots. The signal quality can be affected by variations in the SNR due to external interferences. To solve this, we propose an algorithm called Forced Data Rate, which, through a practical implementation methodology, adapts the spread spectrum control to the dynamic changes of the environment, improving the connection of the moving robot with the gateway. This method automatically adjusts the spread rate during the route, optimizing the use of SF and maintaining the LoRa system’s coverage range. The results show that this approach improves communication, minimizes failures, and is efficient for mobility applications such as robot to everything (R2X).
