Abstract
Driven by technological innovations, significant transformations have occurred in production systems in recent centuries. Considering the last decades, several researches were born around the term Industry 4.0, which has nine pillars, one of which is Simulation. Due to technological development along with the emergence of the Digital Twin concept, researchers and analysts in the area of simulation find themselves facing a challenge: producing computational models with the maximum number of variables present in a real system. These computational models can be analyzed and improved from a structural perspective. Therefore, this paper presents the iDAV Method. The aim is to, through this method, measure the structural complexity of simulation models and define methodological parameters that will assist in the process of analyzing these models. The details of each phase and the final result of the iDAV Method will be presented and discussed in this paper.
