Abstract

The article addresses the application of a framework that integrates Discrete Event Simulation (SED) and Lean Six Sigma (LSS) in an automotive company. The study describes in detail the application of DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) steps and the creation, validation and verification of conceptual and computational models, as well as their statistical analyses. The integration of the framework allowed the construction of the models to be directed specifically to the problems identified by the LSS. This made it easy to create scenarios to test the root causes and proposed solutions. The results were very positive, demonstrating that the project has become more assertive. This highlighted the effectiveness of integrating SED and LSS in solving complex problems and improving industrial processes, making project execution more efficient and saving resources.
