Abstract

Supplier relationship management presents significant challenges, including the process of supplier segmentation. This process involves categorizing suppliers into distinct groups to enable the implementation of appropriate and differentiated strategies for each group. This study introduces a probabilistic extension of the Kraljic matrix using the SMAA-FFS-H method, which incorporates a hierarchical structure of criteria into the dimensions of the Kraljic matrix. The application of this method also allows for the probabilistic segmentation of suppliers within the Kraljic quadrants. The framework is applied to a real case study in the soybean transportation industry.
