In this work, we address the transmission of digital data in a noisy environment and highlight the importance of coding theory to ensure the integrity of the information. The study focuses on the decoding process using syndromes for the family of binary linear codes in general. The main goal is to demonstrate the simulation of data encoding, transmission, and decoding using \texttt{SageMath}. In this research, the techniques used in \cite{Timur} are extended to perform simulations involving texts written with ASCII characters and images in black and white; we point out that these ideas can be used to process images in other formats. In this talk, we will present the mathematical background and give several simulations of the encoding and decoding process.
