Submission rules

Submitted papers must strictly follow the templates available on this page. Papers submitted outside the standard established for CNMAC 2025 will be automatically rejected by the Editorial Committee, without analysis of scientific merit.

The Editorial Committee may, at its discretion, consult the authors' Lattes CV to check pertinent information about the presenting author's degree. Only papers whose authors are at least enrolled in a higher education course will be accepted.

In order for an accepted paper to be included in the event's Program, the presenting author (designated in the submission) must pay the registration fee by July 25, 2025. Registration for CNMAC 2025 will be open from May 12, 2025. Each registration fee allows the presentation of a maximum of one paper per category (totaling a maximum of two papers), respecting the restrictions on the Type of contributions.

Accepted and presented papers will be published in the Proceeding Series of the Brazilian Society of Computational and Applied Mathematics (http://proceedings.sbmac.org.br/sbmac). For this reason, when submitting and presenting a paper at the event, the author must be aware that his/her work will be published by SBMAC, with the copyright being tacitly transferred to the Society.

At SBMAC events, 3 (three) types of contributions are considered:

  • Type A: Research at the scientific initiation level; the presenting author must at least be enrolled in an undergraduate program.
  • Type B: Research in progress with partial results; the presenting author must at least be enrolled in a master's program.
  • Type C: Original research with conclusive results; the presenting author must at least be enrolled in a doctorate program.

Depending on the type of contribution, the paper must be submitted in only ONE of the following categories:

  • Category 1: Two-page abstract (Types A and B).
  • Category 2: Full paper of 5 to 7 pages (Type C).

The forms of presentation of papers at SBMAC events are:

1. Posters: Category 1

2. Oral Presentation: Category 2
