About

The National Congress of Applied and Computational Mathematics (CNMAC) is the most important event of the Brazilian Society of Applied and Computational Mathematics (SBMAC) and has become the largest event in the field in Brazil and Latin America. The congress aims to bring together professors, researchers and other professionals from universities, research centers and companies, from the most diverse areas of Applied and Computational Mathematics, to disseminate and discuss recent results of their research and ongoing work. In this way, the event has become a meeting point to learn about the scientific production in the area at the main national institutions. The CNMAC program includes mini-courses, mini-symposia, conferences, technical sessions for oral communications, general panel sessions and scientific initiation panels. In addition, special sessions dedicated to Teaching are held, including activities for elementary school teachers. Additionally, since 1995, the event has awarded the best undergraduate research papers and, since 2002, the best master's dissertations and doctoral theses. All information about the SBMAC awards can be found at http://www.sbmac.org.br/premios. The awards ceremony will take place during the CNMAC.

The 44th edition of the CNMAC will be held at the School of Applied Mathematics of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation, in Rio de Janeiro, and is organized by a local committee formed by professors from EMAp/FGV, LNCC, UERJ, and UFRJ. Come and participate in the CNMAC! It is a great opportunity to discuss and learn about subjects related to Applied and Computational Mathematics at various levels, with activities dedicated to elementary school teachers, covering everything from undergraduate studies to cutting-edge scientific research communicated by researchers with extensive experience in the field.
