Sensory analysis is an essential tool for evaluating product attributes and acceptance in the food industry. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of front labeling on the purchase intention of milk chocolate. Six samples with different labeling (with or without nutritional magnifying glasses) were evaluated by 123 consumers, 57% women and 43% men at IFSULDEMINAS – Campus Inconfidentes. The samples were evaluated in relation to purchase intention. The front nutritional labeling had no influence on the consumer's purchase intention. The samples without front labeling and with the labeling of high in saturated fat and high in calories obtained higher positive purchase intention, while the sample with the front labeling high in added sugar, high in calories and high in saturated fat, as well as the sample containing the front labeling high in sugar obtained a higher frequency of responses for purchase indecision and negative purchase intention.
