The Brazilian Company for Industrial Research and Innovation (EMBRAPII) is a social organization qualified by the federal government that, since 2013, has supported technological research institutions by fostering innovation in Brazilian industry. In 2021, the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS) was accredited as an Embrapii Unit in the area of Applied Technologies. The accredited unit was AGROTEC – Bioeconomy in Agribusiness, which develops RD&I projects focused on developing innovative products and processes within three lines: Bioinputs, Food Technology and Technology for Agribusiness Sustainability. The objective of this work is to report the experience of a group of researchers registered in the talent bank of the Agrotec/Embrapii/UFMS Unit. AGROTEC/UFMS comprises a team of multidisciplinary researchers (professors, technical support and students), with national and international recognition. Since 2022, the group of researchers from the Food and Nutrition Laboratory (LANUTRI/UFMS) have been registered in AGROTEC's talent bank, and one of the group's central proposals is the appreciation of native ingredients from Brazilian biomes, contributing to the development of innovative products, adding nutritional and economic value, and environmental preservation. The research group has already developed two innovative products and, in progress, the development of a line of gourmet creamy honey with flavors inspired by the biomes of Brazil stands out, seeking to offer natural products, with differentiated sensory quality and sustainable appeal
