The present work, the removal of lactose from milk was carried out using the molecularly imprinted polymer as adsorbent and modeling the adsorption process using artificial neural network (ANN). The adsorption was facilitated through continuous flow in a fixed bed column. ANN model was developed by using Matlab software. The network multilayer perceptron was trained using experimental data with different contact time, temperature, granulometry, bed height and flow rate. Mean square error (MSE) of 0.0217, and coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.9741 were found for prediction and modeling of lactose removal.
