NOVEL AQUEOUS TWO-PHASE SYSTEM BASED ON PROTICS IONIC LIQUIDS AND ACETONE
In the present study, protic ILs were evaluated in order to provide information on their efficiency in the formation of ATPS. IL based organic acids (C2 to C4) and amines (monoethanolamine, diethanolamine and n-methyl monoethanolamine) and acetone were used as ATPS’ components. The binodal curves obtained by these systems were determined experimentally at 298 ±1 K and at atmospheric pressure, and the best result was achieved with n-methyl monoethanolamine acetate with the largest biphasic region in the phase diagram.
