Abstract

Quantum computing holds the promise of completely changing the theoretical and computational Chemistry field.

Qubits not only can exist in two states, 0 and 1, but they can be in a superposition of both states at the same time and can be entangled.

The most promising candidate algorithm in the near future is the variational quantum eigensolver (VQE).
