Abstract

This article presents the development of STAT-LYNX by the Center for Naval Systems Analysis, a tactical simulator for the Super Lynx Mk.21B (AH-11B) aircraft of the Brazilian Navy. The system replicates, in a virtual environment, the sensors and onboard tactical systems, allowing the training of pilots without the use of the real aircraft. Designed to be installed on an existing aircraft fuselage, the simulator adopts modular architecture and integration with the existing Gangway® Simulator, enabling joint aircraft-ship exercises. The development methodology combined Systems Engineering and Production Engineering with agile practices, continuously adjusting to the operational needs raised throughout the development. Preliminary studies indicate cost reduction and greater efficiency in training. STAT-LYNX is consolidated as a strategic training tool, interoperable, scalable and aligned with the needs of maritime power.
