Simulation of a Fuel Distribution Base

The objective of this work was to develop a simulation model for the processes of tank truck loading in a fuel distribution base. Through an empirical quantitative approach, it was possible to structure a database related to four months of operation, taking into account the rules and characteristics of the terminal. Thus, a descriptive model was developed for these activities, capable of measuring operating costs over time, and which could be applied to a real case study, in order to prescribe the best alternative between two investment options. The project also contributed to the proposition of a new costing metric, developed in conjunction with the base's supervision team.
