Abstract

One of the bottlenecks for the energy transition of the automotive industry is the autonomy of electric vehicle batteries. Contributions to rationalize the battery production process can mean time and resource savings, allowing the industry's focus to be concentrated on improving energy storage technology. In this sense, this paper applies to Mixed Integer Linear Programming to model and solve the Sequencing Problem in Resource-Constrained Designs (PSPRR) of the production of batteries for electric automobiles. Two production scenarios were analyzed and compared, considering precedent relationships between activities and resource limitations. The result demonstrates the importance of the PSPRR for production planning, allowing the industry to anticipate challenges and test different scenarios for optimized production.
