Abstract

Cloud computing providers (CSP) have charged their tenants based on the same premise used by PC manufacturers, that is, the greater the amount of CPU, RAM, and etc., the higher the final product price. However, in the virtualization this pricing model should be revised in favour of a methodology that allows tenants to observe the fractal patterns present in the configurations they select when contracting services. This would help them remain aware of the terms and conditions outlined in the service level agreements (SLAs) established between tenants and CSPs.

The results obtained from measurements show that tenants are incorrectly charged by CSPs, but also introduces the multiplicative model of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), known as Super-Cobb-Douglas CRS. This model is proposed to predict, among the listed alternatives, which configuration exhibits the most suitable fractal pattern for service delivery at the transport layer of the TCP/IP stack over time.
