Abstract

Microenterprises play an important role in the economy but face management limitations due to the lack of decision support systems. This study proposes a decision support model for a micro earthmoving company using the Multicriteria Decision Aid - Constructivist (MCDA-C). A qualitative approach was adopted through a case study. Data collection for the construction of the model was based on documents and interviews. The main results were: (i) construction of the model with 4 fundamental points of view; (ii) development of 41 performance criteria/indicators to support the company's decision-making process, 5 of which were financial and 36 non-financial; (iii) assessment of the status quo in the identified indicators. The research offers a theoretical contribution by discussing decision-support models for microenterprises and a practical contribution by providing an instrument for improving management and supporting strategic decision-making in the company studied.
