The answers considered are mean square roughness, total profile height, maximum average height of peaks and valleys, and maximum profile height. The approach begins with factor analysis with Varimax rotation, used for dimensional reduction and generation of scores. Then, these scores are modeled and optimization is carried out using the Normal Intersection to the Boundary (NBI) method. The solutions obtained compose the Pareto frontier in which, for the selection of the optimal point, an index based on the combination of Mahalanobis distance and entropy is adopted, allowing to simultaneously consider centrality and diversity between the objectives. The proposed methodology offers a structured and robust alternative for multiobjective problems, promoting a balance between sustainability and quality of finishing.
