This work proposes an optimization model based on Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) to maximize the financial results of a railway planning, respecting operational, commercial and strategic constraints. The modeling was applied in a real case at VLI, in the long-term planning of the Center-North Corridor, and integrated with a computer interface, which enabled its practical adoption in the company's annual planning process. The results showed gains in profitability, in addition to providing a more standardized, assertive and reliable process. The tool also made it possible to assess the impact of contractual restrictions on financial indicators, providing analytical support for the formulation of trade policies in line with strategic objectives.
