Conducting a long term study with patients is a task full of impredictability. Thus, it is hard to predict important paramenters such as the duration of the study. This is due to patient's abscences and the dificulty of concilling patient's personal schedules for taking part in the study. This project aims to solve this Patient Scheduling Problem within a context of a research in Temporomandibular Dysfunction. A constructive heuristics and a mixed integer mathematical model where made to support decision-making of the resposables of the study, so they can have good estimatives of its duration and whether it is needed to hire more physhiotherapeuts for the study. The heuristics and the model were tested in a instance with the availability of real world patients and four generated instances that simulates different scheduling scenarios.
