The spread of dengue is related to the presence of the Aedes aegypti mosquito, whose reproductive cycle is driven by favorable climatic conditions, such as rainy periods or rising temperatures. This study addresses the relationship between climate change and the spread of dengue in the municipalities of the state of Rio de Janeiro, focusing on the analysis of how climate change related to precipitation and temperature patterns contributes to the proliferation of diseases in the region. The study analyzes data on precipitation, temperature, and dengue cases between 2020 and 2024, highlighting a significant increase in cases, especially in the state capital and in Campos dos Goytacazes. It also concludes the need to include other variables, such as public policies and street litter.
