Abstract

With the increase in passenger volume and the number of airport operations over the years, the management of landings and takeoffs has become even more complex, especially in scenarios in which operational capacity is limited. Therefore, this work investigates the Problem of Sequencing and Scheduling of Single-runway Takeoffs and Landings (ASSP) in a multiobjective context, simultaneously minimizing the cost of divergence in relation to the target time and makespan, under time windows and sequence-dependent minimum separations. For this, a multiobjective approach based on Particle Swarm Optimization (MOPSO) was proposed. Three instances were built from data from Asheville Regional Airport (AVL). The results were evaluated through the metrics of hypervolume, spacing and ∆, and indicated stable frontiers and competitive solutions in relation to the observed schedule.
