The LPP enables users to perform heterologous protein expression in Escherichia coli, providing comprehensive support throughout all experimental stages, from cell transformation to quality analysis. The facility is equipped with advanced liquid chromatography systems with wide range of chromatography columns (including affinity, ion exchange, hydrophobic interaction and size exclusion), as well as reagents and quality assays such as SDS-PAGE and spectrophotometric quantification.
Users are encouraged to participate actively in each step of the workflow, benefiting from technical training and personalized scientific guidance provided by our team of experts. The LPP supports protein production for a wide range of applications, including studies of protein interactions, crystallography, cryo-electron microscopy, spectroscopy and enzymatic assays.
Access to the LPP is granted via proposal submission through the SAU Online system and is subject to evaluation by the technical team. There is no cost for researchers from academic institutions and financial support for travel and accommodation is offered.
The LPP’s mission is aligned with CNPEM’s commitment to open science, advanced training and the promotion of collaborative research on a national scale.
With nearly 200,000 papers published, Galoá empowers scholars to share and discover cutting-edge research through our streamlined and accessible academic publishing platform.
