Abstract

This paper presents a methodology for the planning of the medium-term operation of electric power distribution systems, with the objective of optimizing costs and regulating voltage. The planning measures considered are the allocation of shunt capacitor banks, photovoltaic panels and energy storage systems that make it possible to relieve the flow of current in the grid feeders, contributing to voltage regulation and reducing technical losses. The planning problem is formulated as a stochastic mixed integer nonlinear programming problem, modeling the uncertain parameters through scenarios and using the multiobjective optimization approach to find optimized solutions from the development and implementation of the NSGA-II meta-heuristic. The proposed methodology is tested for a 69-bar system.
