Crea un temaHomemade enteral diets are often monotonous, do not always address the nutritional needs of patients and don’t offer the additional benefits of fresh and/or minimally processed foods. The objective of the study is using fresh foods to provide quality to chronic kidney patients based on a diet rich in phytochemicals. Were developed two experimental enteral diets for adults with Chronic Renal Failure (CRF) , one for each sex, infused for 12 hours of gravitational drip simulation. Were performed a quantities analyze for total phenolic compounds by Folin-Ciocalteau (1999), antioxidant capacity (DPPH) by Boroski et al (2011), and flavonoids content by the aluminum chloride colorimetric method (1998). The results after One-Way ANOVA test and Post-Hoc test showed that there is a significative difference between the experimental diets and the pattern diet for CRF, offer by the Hospital of Clinics from the city of Uberaba (Minas Gerais, Brazil), in antioxidant capacity and contents flavonoids, revealing a higher content of these in the experimental diets compared to the standard diet. In this way, two experimental enteral diets with only fresh or minimally processed foods, specifically calculated for adults with CRF presented, is as sufficient and good as the homemade diets already prescribed by de Hospital. Therefore, it’s possible to say that it can be an alternative to the possibility of dietary formulations for these patients promoting additional benefits to its user’s health when we think about prevention and treatment of Chronic non-Communicable Diseases. Also, bioactives substances are capable of helping control common complications in the population with Chronic Kidney Disease, such as stress oxidative, inflammation and others, equally important information regarding the current moment of pandemic and complications of COVID-19 that we are going through.
