Abstract

Known for its oil-rich fruits with great potential for the food and biofuel sectors, macaúba (Acrocomia aculeata) also has other sustainability attributes such as the use of its co-products for energy cogeneration and aptitude for cultivation in integrated production systems. On the other hand, the production chain, still under development, brings limitations, especially in management technologies, especially for weed control. Thus, the objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of different pre-emergent herbicides on the development of macaúba seedlings. The experiment was carried out at the experimental farm Santa Paula/UFVJM, in 4.6 L polypropylene bags, arranged in a randomized block design with five replications. The treatments were the herbicides: oxyfluorfen, clomazone, s-metolachlor, indaziflam, fomesafen, flumioxazin, atrazine, metribuzin, trifluralin, sulfentrazone, diuron + sulfentrazone and diuron, in addition to the control without herbicide application. Average recommended doses of each commercial product in L ha-1 were applied. Before application and at 31, 81, 131 and 155 days after, plant height, stem diameter and number of leaves were evaluated. At the end, for each evaluation, the increment rate was considered, which was calculated in relation to the initial evaluation. To investigate the effect of the treatments on the increment, linear regressions were established to adjust the mathematical equations
