The objective was to evaluate the nutritional value of corn (Zea mays L.) silage with intercrops between forages and the use our not of pigeonpea (Cajanus cajan). For the corn were used simple hybrid 2B587 PW, for pigeonpea cv. BRS Mandarim, for the palisade grass Brachiaria brizantha cv. Marandu and Brachiaria hibrid Convert HD364(R). When will have interactions between cultures and forage planting, pigeonpea also has the advantage of improving the quality on pastures, with increased level of crude protein (CP) in animal diet. The experiment was conducted at the Experimental Farm Lageado that will belong to FMVZ / UNESP in Botucatu - SP during December 2014 to July 2015. The experimental design was randomized block, in factorial scheme 2 x 2, with 4 replications, therefore corn + pigeonpea + marandu (CPM), corn + pigeonpea + convert (CPC), corn without pigeonpea + marandu (CM) and corn without pigeonpea + convert (CC). The corn was planted in December in a depth of 0.03 m with density of 80,000 ha-1 seeds, spacing between lines 0.45 m. The pigeonpea were planted between the lines of corn more palisade grass our convert grass in a depth of 0.03 m in the same space between lines. Evaluation was made in 10 April when the plant had the 30 to 35% dry matter (DM). Were made cutting material in a stationary chopper and confectioned experimental silos with pvc pipes (90 cm x 10 cm) each one was filled up approximately 1.9 kg of material, achieve a density of 600 kg m3, providing good compaction of the silage performed by hydraulic press. Has been made chemical analysis of DM, ash, CP, fat, acid detergent fiber (ADF), neutral detergent fiber (NDF), described by Silva & Queiroz (2002) and total nutrient digestibility (TDN) estimated according to the equation proposed by Weiss adopted by NRC (2001). Data were analyzed using the Proc MIXED of SAS with treatment and types of forage are fixed effects and the evaluations as random effect. Results of chemical composition and TDN were evaluated on tukey test (P < 0.05) of significance. The CP was the only one that has interactions between treatment and type of forage (P = 0.01 CPM 9.27%, CPC 8.52%, CM 8.0% and CC 8.15%) and difference between treatments exclusively (P = 0.0002). Proving that pigeonpea increase CP without interference from another chemical components and TDN on silage.
