Digestibility of diets with enzymatic complex for growing pigs
The study aimed to evaluate the use of an enzyme complex containing - amylase, -glucanase, phytase, cellulase, xylanase and protease on digestibility of diets for pigs in the growth phase of 63 to 90 days old. Eighty pigs were used, 42 males and 38 females, with approximately 63 days of age in a randomized complete block design case. Five treatments with eight replicates / treatment were tested, as follows: PC: Positive control diet, with energy level recommended for the stage; CN85: negative control diet energy reduction (85 kcal / kg of metabolize energy); CE85: diet CN85 with addition of enzyme complex; CN100: Negative control diet with energy reduction (100 kcal / kg of metabolize energy); CE100: diet CN100 with addition of enzyme complex. One percent of Celite (R) was added to the feed. After the diet adjustment period, stool samples were collected processed and forwarded to Bromatology Laboratory Animal Science Institute, along with the feed samples. Analyzes of dry matter, crude protein and gross energy and analysis of acid insoluble ash by method adapted from Van Keulen and Young (1977) were made. The variables were analyzed using SISVAR. We observed significant differences (p<0,05), for the variables coefficient of digestibility of dry matter (CDDM), digestible dry matter (DDM), coefficient digestibility of crude protein (CDCP), digestible protein (DP), coefficient digestibility gross energy (CDGE) and digestible energy (DE). Despite the statistical difference (p<0,05) among treatments, the addition of the enzyme complex showed no positive responses to CDDM, CDCP, CDGE, DDM and DP. The reduction of 85 Kcal of metabolize energy in the feed determined worst results for the ED with or without the use of enzymes in relation to positive control diet, but the reduction of 100 kcal of metabolize energy with or without addition of the enzyme complex has resulted in digestible energy values similar to that for the positive control diet.
