Introduction: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) refers to a complex series of developmental changes that manifest early in life with heterogeneous autistic features and different degrees of impairment. Studies have shown an improved approach to treating the disorder with the integration of Integrative and Complementary Health Practices. Objective: The aim of this study is to describe the utilization of integrative and complementary practices in the management of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Methodology: This is a narrative literature review with a qualitative approach. The articles will be categorized by author, title, year, journal, research objectives, methodological aspects, and results/conclusions, and will be analyzed using Content Analysis. Partial Results: A total of 1,340 publications were identified in the search sources, of which only 11 met the research objectives and were selected for data extraction. Among the integrative and complementary practices mentioned in the studies, the use of art therapy, dance therapy, music therapy, floral therapy, naturopathy, and yoga stood out. The studies demonstrated that, overall, these practices showed positive outcomes in addressing autism spectrum disorder, improving verbal and nonverbal communication, social interaction, neurocognitive development, motor cognition, memory, emotional and mood stabilization, and, in some cases, even nutritional enhancement. Conclusion: The gathered data suggest the potential use of integrative and complementary health practices in approaching individuals with autism spectrum disorder. However, there is a noticeable need for further investigation due to the scarcity of publications on the topic, as well as the importance and necessity of future scientific research on a national scale.
