Introduction: The emergency training project aims to enhance the safety of students in the city of Catanduva-SP by empowering teachers with the knowledge to make correct decisions in risky situations, such as seizures, burns, choking, dislocations, or wounds. Additionally, this project allows medical students to review safety concepts and appropriate actions, benefiting the schools and the presenters. Objectives: To educate and inform primary school teachers about basic first aid, providing them with the necessary knowledge to handle atypical situations within the school environment. To achieve this objective, five second-year medical students, accompanied by the teacher from UNIFIPA, conducted lectures and shared practical guidance on first aid, preparing primary school teachers to deal adequately and efficiently with emergencies that may occur within schools. Method: This is an experiential report that outlines how students, responsible for teacher training in first aid, approached and structured the project, including theoretical instructions and practical activities. They addressed doubts, solved problem-solving exercises, and even used baby models to demonstrate airway obstruction. The intention is also to report the results of the first aid teachings. Results: The training took place in two schools in the city of Catanduva: Colégio Ressurreição and Colegião - Colégio Ressureição Nossa Senhora do Calvário. A few weeks after the presentations, the schools reported that they needed to use the techniques taught in situations of injuries, falls, and stings. It is important to highlight that, before the implementation of this project, both schools already provided assistance in all necessary situations; however, the treatment was based on the personal experience of the teachers, which was not always aligned with the best protocol to be followed. Given this situation, the current project was of utmost importance to enhance the safety and well-being of the students in first aid situations. Conclusion: This work had an educational impact by providing training to teachers in educational institutions, covering essential topics of first aid in traumatic situations that may occur in students' daily lives at the school. The main objective is to improve prevention and response in dangerous situations.
