The influence of conservatism on the conduction of educational policies: a systematic review

This article aimed to identify how the literature has discussed the influence of the strengthening of conservatism in the conduct of educational policies in Brazil. For this, the systematic literature review method was used. Through the analysis of the corpus formed by the articles, it is perceived that conservatism has materialized in the educational locus with the proposition of initiatives such as the Military Civic Schools Program, the School Without Party Project, the reform of High School, bills that prohibit the discussion of gender and sexuality in the school environment, and projects that provide for religious education in schools. The research contributes to the field of public administration by pointing out conservatism as a factor that has compromised the effectiveness of educational policies by promoting the distancing of these policies from their formal objective, to promote the common good according to the pillars of democratic management and pluralism of ideas.
