Abstract

An experience of training researchers who work as laboratory managers. The demand for this program has its genesis in a chronic problem at the interface between management and research that generates chronic rework; waste of time, material and talent; increased costs; intersectoral communication problems. From this context of recurrent losses, material and immaterial, the qualification of these managers, scientists by training, in the field of Administration was born. The program aims to equip the manager with techniques and tools of organizational management, but above all of a leadership performance capable of becoming critical and humanistic in its praxis, anchored in the ethical-political dimension. Composed of five modules, it is in the implementation of Module 3, with the participation of 125 researchers and technologists. The number of scientists participating spontaneously and the report of new practices are indicators that prove a change in mindset and conduct.
