It's mine, it's yours, the Patrimony is Ours!

This teaching case was inspired by a real story, but presents fictional aspects that were incorporated to detail the discussion about university asset management. Mariana and Jussara are public servants at a Federal University and took on leadership positions to manage the sector responsible for the institution's movable assets. Among the various challenges encountered, they have already found solutions for some, however there are two dilemmas identified that require a solution, namely: How to reuse goods that are still in usable condition, but are discarded by a specific sector, and how to dispose of them of unusable assets continuously and without delay. The case can serve as a basis for discussing theoretical and practical aspects about the planning and administration of public organizations, public management practices, operations management and logistics, at undergraduate level.
