Abstract

This article presents the perception and interest of the employees of a Federal Institution of Higher Education about Integrative and Complementary Health Practices (PICs). This is a descriptive and exploratory study that used the mixed sequential explanatory method. The research was carried out in two stages: an online questionnaire, obtaining 309 respondents, and through a Focus Group. Among the ICPs most known by the interviewees, 72.5% reported that they know some ICP, with Reiki being the most cited, with 24.0%. The interest of the civil servants in relation to the theme of the PICs was verified, and 96% of the civil servants were in favor of the implementation of the PICs in the work environment, in addition to the understanding that the PICs are health promotion devices.
