Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze, through the published literature, what were the challenges of the implementation of the Bolsa Família Program in Brazil (PBF), in the period between 2003 and 2015, in order to evaluate whether the Government's purposes were established, and to what extent. We also sought to investigate what changes were necessary in this process in order to improve the program's actions. For the research, an integrative literature review was carried out, with a qualitative approach, in order to raise, categorize and analyze the challenges investigated in the literature. It was concluded that the BFP presented several challenges and difficulties in its implementation, conception, implementation and continuity. All the challenges that this research brought to light are relevant for a broader understanding of what the BFP is, requiring further future discussions, with a view to its constant improvement and improvement.
