Abstract

Telecommuting has been boosted by the COVID-19 pandemic, directing public and private organizations to adapt to the new way of working. The challenge of attracting and retaining the server to perform the function in a given organizational unit started to rely on telework as an allied tool for this purpose. This paper seeks to understand the relationship between telework and the attraction and retention of talents in the public service through a literature review and a comparative analysis based on secondary data contained in public databases. The results indicate that the current public selection notices use telework as a way to attract talent. Such notices do not consider the need for organizational support and training for the postulant server. Factors such as information security, data protection and the holding of new competitions are relevant for the reorganization of management in the face of teleworking.
